SVMCM Eligibility for Different Courses: Who Can Apply?

  • Enrolled after passing-out in Secondary (M.P.) Examination or its equivalent in 2023 for first-year Diploma (Polytechnic) courses.
  • For lateral entry to the 2nd year Diploma (Polytechnic) courses, candidates must have passed H.S./ equivalent Examination or ITI 2 years.
  • Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination (excluding marks secured in optional elective subjects, if any).
  • Courses must be approved by AICTE/PCI/CoA and affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD.

UG College Level:

  • Minimum qualifying marks of 60% in aggregate in the H.S. Examination conducted by the W.B. Council of H.S. Education/Madrasha Siksha Parishad.
  • Separate merit lists for UG (Arts), UG (Commerce), and UG (Science) courses.

PG University Level:

  • Graduates securing at least 53% marks in the Honours subject at the graduation level.
  • Marks obtained in Honours subject will be the sole academic criterion for awarding scholarships.
  • Kanyashree recipients (K-2) pursuing PG courses in Science, Arts, and Commerce streams from State universities after obtaining UG Degree with 45% marks in aggregate are eligible.
  • No need for Income Certificate and Income Affidavit for Kanyashree students applying for K-3 scholarship.

Research Level:

  • Full-time M.Phil. or Ph.D. research scholars, non-NET candidates and NET-LS candidates are eligible.
  • Registration as of 01/04/2017 or later, up to the day of dissertation submission (subject to time limits).
  • NET-LS scholars must inform the University authorities upon appointment as teachers.
